"Some teach to fill buckets. I teach to light fires! Yes, we will give appropriate time to the various components used to construct a landscape painting. We will cover the basics of composition, design, color, values, edge treatment, etc.. But, that is merely a jumping off point. I'll introduce participants to some of the more elusive concepts that often make the difference between a painting and a work of art! My goals as an instructor are to simplify the basics of creating a plein air painting, give participants the tools needed to imbue a piece with emotion, and keep each painter excited about our shared passion, painting the landscape from life!"
