First of all, for air travelers ...... ABIA (AUS) in Austin (at 56 minutes / 61.5 miles) is not the only choice for your arrival and departure. The Killeen airport, (GRK) is much closer (at 21 minute / 17.3 miles) to Painted Views Ranch, without any toll roads (as there would be on the best route from Austin) and there are many choices for lodging in the Killeen area.
